WITH MAJOR DONATION, ANHEUSER-BUSCH FOUNDATION LAUDS 46-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH HSF

May 15, 2021, LOS ANGELES –The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), one of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations supporting higher education, today announced that Anheuser-Busch Foundation has reaffirmed its historic commitment to HSF’s mission, through a donation of $300,000.
Anheuser-Busch, the country’s leading brewer, and its philanthropic arm, the Anheuser-Busch Foundation, have supported HSF since the organization’s founding in 1975 with nearly $10 million in contributions. During the past decade alone, the Foundation has contributed more than $3.5 million to HSF, helping to provide scholarships benefiting more than 560 students and supporting HSF’s leadership development programs and Scholar Conferences.
“The mission of the Anheuser-Busch Foundation is to provide support for organizations that help communities and individuals thrive,” said César Vargas, Chief External Affairs Officer, Anheuser-Busch and member of HSF’s Board of Directors. “We’ve been partners with HSF since its earliest days and have experienced first-hand the impact the organization has had on students, families, and the Latino community. HSF’S DALLAS COLLEGE CAMP TO HELP STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES PREPARE, PLAN, AND PAY FOR COLLEGE

Dallas, TX, March 3– The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation’s largest nonprofit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, in partnership with Wells Fargo & Company (Wells Fargo), Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota), and University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), will be hosting a College Camp informational workshop, for middle and high school students and their parents, on the UT Dallas campus, Saturday, March 7, 2020.
College Camp is a free, bilingual, half-day, college preparation program designed to help middle and high school students and their parents, prepare, plan, and pay for college. Topics include navigating the college application process, choosing a college that's the right fit, writing a personal statement, and researching financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
“College Camp at UT Dallas will open doors to higher education for hundreds of families living in the area, many of whom will be receiving the knowledge we provide, for the first time,” said Fidel A. Vargas, President & CEO, Hispanic Scholarship Fund. “Thanks to the continuing and generous support of Wells Fargo, Toyota, and UT Dallas, we will once again have the opportunity to transform lives in the region, by sharing vital information and resources and answering questions.”
Participating students are grouped by grade level, in sessions tailored to their needs, while parents meet according to language preference—in Spanish or English. All participants have the opportunity to interact with HSF Scholars, Alumni, and staff, as well as additional local volunteers, including business leaders and educators.
